Pizza Sauce, Cat Boxes etc...
There is never a dull moment around here. Sugar, one of our cats, refuses to use the litter box.I have tried everything I can think of to figure out her problem. Nothing works. I have a 7 yr old who won't sleep in her own bed. I have tried EVERYTHING to figure out HER problem. Nothing works. Pizza...

School Days?
Ugh-The stomach but won't leave us alone, although it did get my 7 yr old out of a dentist appointment and she (and I) are both happy about that. The day has to begin here, although all but one of my bats is still asleep. I have to admit, we laughed last night, when thinking of all the students who...

A Simple Day
Life here is slow... due to the after holidays blah-ness (is that a word?) and a touch of some kind of vague stomach bug. I've had a few very full days at work this past week and am glad to be able to enjoy today (and the next 2 weeks) at home before a few more shifts hit (I work very part time at a...

My husband had some jazz music charts to work on, due next week,...

A Hush Falls upon the Cave
It is quiet here in the batcave. All five little bats are off to an annual sleepover at the house of some dear friends. Even my husband has disappeared into his studio to do some work. And...it is actually quiet here in the batcave (I am wondering..is batcave written as one word or two?). It is a...

Freedom
We find that in the midst of our freedom, we still are not free enough. 4 day Literature tests steal my children's love of reading. Math tests that try to trick them, keep them from learning the math that really matters, works of art that must be done according to the requirements of "those in...

A Wonderful Meal
My 15 yr old daughter made a wonderful dinner tonight. Fried chicken, dipped in herbs, scalloped potatoes made from scratch, corn and home made banana bread. It was wonderful. I am blessed. Of course there had to be a "hitch". My 9 yr old son, Sam, just would not try the potatoes due to the fact...
